GRAB A BARGAIN:

Matilda Goad Sample Sale

We're big fans of Matilda Goad and her homely, British country aesthetic. This Friday, her eponymous brand will be hosting its biggest sample sale yet, full of signature scalloped-edge throws and scatter cushions, kitchen accessories and candles. Entry is first come, first served, so we’d advise getting down there early.

St Peter's Church, Kensington Park Road, Notting Hill, W11 2PN; 12th April, 8:30am-4pm

UPDATE YOUR WARDROBE:

Skall Trunk Show

At SL, we love championing small and sustainable brands, and Skall Studio has been on our radar for a while now. The brainchild of sisters Julie and Marie Skall, whose coastal upbringing inspired their free-spirited, functional pieces, the brand aims to be an alternative to fast fashion – it only works with a few select factories to make its stylish, quality separates. To celebrate a decade of Skall Studio, and the launch of its SS24 collection, the brand is hosting a pop-up at Couverture & The Garbstore between the 10th and the 14th of April. Attendees are invited to shop a wide selection of pieces in store and, on the 11th, customers will be able to meet the Skall team, learn more about the brand, as well as pick up some invaluable styling tips.

HAVE A DRINK:

Sotto X The Cocktail Guy

Rich Woods – also known as The Cocktail Guy – is teaming up with Soho’s Sotto to bring a bit of la dolce vita to London. On 12th April, the speakeasy beneath Italian restaurant Bocconcino is launching a cocktail menu of classics with Italian twists. The Med martini brings together lemon gin, Lillet Blanc, bergamot and Amalfi lemon, serving them with a Mediterranean Sea spray foam. There’s also a spring-ready blood orange and tarragon spritz, plus a biscotti sour.

Rokh X H&M At Outernet

This weekend, fashion fans have the chance to immerse themselves in the world of rokh X H&M, with an exclusive opportunity to see the collection – which includes that double-layer trench coat – in real life before it launches in stores and online on 18th April. Together with H&M, designer of the moment Rok Hwang has created a collection that subverts the key components of a classic professional wardrobe. There are pieces for men and women, with detachable-hem dresses, corset tops, reworked trousers and denim, underwear, logo t-shirts, graphic two-tone metallic jewellery and playful office-inspired accessories, like a briefcase bag and accordion file clutch among the highlights.
