the NEED-TO-KNOWS

One of the highlights of our summer calendar, Taste of London is one of the oldest and best food festivals in the city. Over the last 20 years, it’s brought some of London’s best restaurants to Regent’s Park for a week of food and fun, and this year is no exception. In 2024, the festival will host over 30 restaurants, with chefs serving over 150 dishes – guests can make their way around each stall, book lessons at the Cook School with Lee Kum Kee, and watch chefs at work at the Fire Pit.

HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT ACROSS THE FESTIVAL...

the FOOD

From top chefs to some of London’s buzziest restaurants, Taste of London showcases some of the best food across the capital. Here are just a few names we’re excited about:

Norma

This Charlotte Street restaurant celebrates old-school Italian hospitality and charm, taking inspiration from the grand café culture found in Palermo with a suitably Mediterranean menu. Expect to sample everything from crostini to arancini.

Roti King

Roti King serves some of the best Malaysian food in the capital. Here, guests will be able to try everything from flaky flatbreads to fluffy rice and spiced skewers.

Bar Kroketa

For a quick bite, you can’t beat Bar Kroketa. The team behind the popular Soho spot have transformed the classic Spanish croqueta into their standout dish. With an informal vibe, it embraces the lively spirit of Spanish bar culture, focusing on adventurous menus featuring off-cuts and seasonal ingredients.

Angelina

Combining two of the most popular cuisines – Japanese and Italian – Angelina will bring a condensed version of its signature dishes to Taste Of London. We’re eyeing up the cuttlefish ragu.

the EXPERIENCES

There’s an exciting line-up of chefs set to appear the Fire Pit, which is Taste’s immersive cooking demo stage set around a huge pit and grill. Top names include Mursal Saiq, Andy Beynon and Ben Tish. You’ll also get the chance to catch DJ BBQ on the grill.

Keen to improve your cooking skills? Book in for a lesson at the Cook School with Lee Kum Kee – hands-on masterclasses led by top chefs like Thuy Diet Pham, Rahel Stephanie aka EatwithSpoons and April Jackson. Learn how to create dishes from around the world, before sampling your creations. The full line-up of names is yet to be released, but if last year is anything to go by, we’re expecting good things.

You can also take a walk around the festival to admire the artisan produce. Then, stop for drinks at one of the many bars – there’ll be pop-ups from Jack Daniel’s and El Jimador – before enjoying live entertainment in the park. Piano Bar will set the vibe, while DJs and live musicians create a party atmosphere.
