The Heritage Trend
We suspected this might be a trend when Claudia Winkleman’s country-core style went viral during series two of hit show The Traitors – and clearly, British designers have fallen back in love with the aesthetic too. From plaid to faux fur, there were hints of the Highlands and slight equestrian touches at shows like Erdem, Burberry and Emilia Wickstead.

The Iconic Show
The location of Burberry’s shows always creates a bit of a buzz. Previously set at Kennington Park and before that in North London’s Highbury Fields, this season, the brand went east to show at Victoria Park. The collection was full of classics reimagined, from new tartan colourways to modern leather trenches and skirts. Plus, the show’s attendees represented Burberry’s new vibe, led by creative director Daniel Lee who joined the brand two seasons ago. Barry Keoghan, Lila Moss and Iris Law all attended, as did Dizzie Rascal, Jonathan Bailey and Olivia Colman – oh, and Naomi Campbell also closed the show.

The 40th Celebrations
Designers pulled out all the stops to celebrate London Fashion Week’s big milestone – with brands like Erdem choosing to show at iconic London locations like the British Museum, while Roksanda showed at Tate Britain. Continuing the star-studded cameos, actress Joanna Lumley also performed a one-woman show by author Fatima Farheen Mirza at the Completedworks’ show.

The Street Style
We were on the ground capturing the best street style. From cool tailoring to modern outerwear, the British capital really does it best.
The Colour
Pink is here to stay but we’re loving the softer approach taken by brands like Erdem and JW Anderson. Others, like Emilia Wickstead, went for bolder pink trenches and dresses but it felt fresh against the plethora of reds that dominated last season.

The Silhouette
They might not have been completely wearable, but we loved seeing a lot more directional and sculptural pieces making their way down the runway. Richard Quinn’s take featured larger-than-life sculptural floral details and an oversized hem, while Molly Goddard and Marques’ Almeida went for a voluminous hemmed skirt style.
